Netvibes is a really great homepage/dashboard set up. Anyone familiar with iGoogle should have a pretty firm grasp on the foundation of Netvibes. However, what sets Netvibes apart is a really rich widget API, an incredibly active community, and tons of other quirks that you wouldn’t find on iGoogle (such as being able to monitor multiple GMail accounts on a single dashboard).

Netvibes proudly totes the slogan “Dashboard Everything,” and with good reason. Within just a short few minutes of using it you’ll find multitudes of ways to streamline your Internet experience. Whether it’s following your favorite news sites, checking your Facebook, Twitter or other social networking sites of choice, or just checking the weather before you go out, Netvibes has you covered.

It’s not just all about fun and games, though. Netvibes has some serious tools to help you monitor your web presence, user interactions, or even Social Media Marketing through their Monitoring Tools and tutorials. Simply make a new tab and add widgets like Hootsie, Social Mention, Alexa, or Yelp. There are limitations however, such as only being able to follow a Facebook Profile rather than a Facebook Page.
