3 Ways to Increase Your Blog Readership

You have the most interesting content the web has ever seen and a writing style that compares to the classics of Hemingway. Problem is, no one knows about it!

So how do get more people to read your blog?  How do you build more awareness?

Here are three easy ways to get more traffic to your blog:

  1. Add your blog URL to your marketing material – Make your blog a permanent part of your marketing material.  When you send an e-mail, add the blog url to your signature.  When clients leave with your marketing material, be sure to highlight your blog as a great resource for answering their questions and staying up to date on your office news and services.
  2. Create a small e-mail campaign – A small e-mail campaign announcing the existence of your blog, what you write about, and why it could be important to them is a great way to spread the word.  List some of your more popular posts and add them as links within the e-mail that your recipients can click on!  A personal and informal e-mail is a good way to get those familiar with you and your service to become aware of your blog and the great information you offer to them at no cost.
  3. Link new posts to your social media – A few of the most popular social media sites like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter allow feeds or plugins as additions to your profiles. This is a great and easy way to automatically update your profile pages on these sites every time you write a blog post.  Each time you post– friends and associates that you are connected to on your social media sites will all be updated on your great news or information and provided a link to read further!

What new ways have you found that bring new readers to your blog? (authentically, of course)
