Better Project Management: Motivate Out of Apathy

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Ziglar.

A Project Manager can be likened to the coach of a team.  His responsibility is to determine best strategies, train the players, build friendship and camaraderie, and direct the team plays learned in practice during a game.  BUT OUR JOB IS ALSO TO MOTIVATE!

This is equally as important as keeping the project on scope, schedule, and budget.  Remember, your team consists of human beings with varying backgrounds and motivations. Learn what those motivations are and task yourself to re-energize your team every day!

Motivation doesn’t last. Re-new it daily. Or risk apathy infecting your project team.
