Twitter’s Growth Spurt is Flatlining

It seems that the US’s use of Twitter is beginning to flatline. If you look at usage reports for the major social networking sites you would see that for over 4 months now Twitter has the same amount of users. Recent trends suggest that Twitter has stopped gaining new Tweeters. Twitter CEO Evan Williams has recently admitted that their traffic has stalled in the US. It is unclear why Twitter has stopped increasing when Facebook continues to grow despite its huge following. Only time will tell if this trend will continue or if Twitter can find new ways to sell itself to the public.
