Google Makes Doing Business Easier

In September 2009 Google launched Place Pages, and in April 2010 did away with the name Local Business Center to be taken over by Place Pages. Place Pages is an online database that allows consumers to find places of business such as restaurants, dry cleaners, dentist’s, to private investigators all over the U.S. These businesses have the capability to pay a small $25 dollar per month fee for advertising, put up to date info regarding sales, and even coupons. This tool allows business owners to manage their own Google web presence.  If you think all of the new capabilities are impressive, we haven’t even gotten to the good part yet. You can also upload photos of your business onto the site and in select cities you can even request that Google comes and takes interior photos of your business facility. Businesses will be given a QR code that can be downloaded and put on business cards, etc. The Favorite Places program will be re-launched to acknowledge 50,000 selected businesses in the country and it will include a window decal that also contains a QR code that allows Google to make a business’ great offerings mobile.
